How do you stamp? Do you make splendiforous creations in a mere 10 minutes you squeeze in somewhere? Not me. I have to sit myself down with serious stamping intent (if not serious enough, I waste my time sorting, etc.--which can be important, too, but doesn't get any stamping done).
That's just what I did last night, and got several cards done while a watched one of my favorite DVDs--an old 80's BBC version of Jane Austen's "Pride & Prejudice." Yes, it's my all-time favorite book, and I loved this version so much I special-ordered the video nearly 20 years ago--so you know how happy I was to find a DVD version at Costco last year!
Anyway, with the right environment, a little entertainment, and the proper frame of mind, I got going.
Here's a card I've been meaning to make for my new nephew, waiting until I got into the right mood:

I still have to mail his birthday package, so he hasn't gotten the card yet, but I think it's safe to show (I sincerely doubt my big brother is checking out my stamping blog!).
Like it? I'm really pleased!
I used Bashful Blue as my main color--perfect for baby boys! I stamped BB on to Whisper White using the new Animal Stories set. (Note: this is a set of solid-image stamps--be sure to rough up the stamps so they will grip the ink better). I wrapped BB taffeta ribbon on the corners.
The layer of BB below that was run through the Big Shot with the big circle image Texturz for an understated design. All of this was mounted on Whisper White.
I will get some more items today--my new catalog order #1 should arrive today. I'm ready for my Open Houses here in High Point--hope to see you! Remember, if you
RSVP ahead of time you'll get a free gift with your catalog order.
Happy stamping!
