Here's why!

The phone rang at 6:20 this morning, so of course I'm a bit freaked about it--is someone in our families in danger? Thankfully not!
Our school district uses a Connect Ed phone service so we get recorded calls from the schools our kids attend to tell us what's happening, and I get calls for our school staff. We also get calls from the district sometimes. This was one of those times.
The call said that sporting events for today were cancelled but that afterschool care would take place as usual. Hmm...that seems funny to hear in the morning. Was a big storm expected tonight?
So I went to the district website, and there was the message I think we should have gotten, but for some reason didn't get--2-hour delay today because of SNOW! We haven't had snow in November in several years! It didn't even enter our realm of thought, and the weatherfolk weren't predicting it.
I love a delay (or an early release) due to snow--we don't have to make up a missed day later and we have a shortened work day, which everyone (kids AND teachers) appreciates sometimes!
So the photo is our backyard at 6:30 a.m. Hmm...time to put the hammock and pool ladder away!
As I still need to get some paper cut, etc. for my Stamp-a-Stacks tomorrow, I am very glad to have the extra time!
Have a great day, and happy stamping!
